Well written with likeable characters. Pacing is good and plot is good as well. If this is your cup of tea (paranormal murder mystery, I suppose?) It's really a good book. It's just not my thing.

Loved it. Just like the synopsis states it has a coyote shifter that is in a works where werewolves and other mystical creatures live.

This was a great book. Mercy strikes me a little as an urban fantasy version of the Tuesday Next character (by jasper fforde, also a series I love dearly). Great story, great characters. I can see where people might get the impression that there might be a love triangle but I don’t see it. If it ends up later that she is torn between the two gentlemen I will be miffed to say the least.

it is refreshing to have a strong female MC who is not all ‘ woe is me! I am the daughter of evil and I am responsible for the safety of the world ALL the time!’ Yes to be fair this is why I read the Hidden Legacy series.

I was a little unsure in the beginning, but once I hit around page 60, this really picked up and I enjoyed it. A very interesting cast of characters, and I like this strange, and scary world. I'm looking forward to more of Stefano, Zee, Warren...and hopefully ADAM! I like Samuel, but I don't like him like that :P
I was sad for many of the characters, too. Mac broke my heart and the whole thing with the Wallace's. I don't know. There was sadness. The head vampire wench is on my shit list, but we shall see as the series progresses. I will continue to the next one.

I.... I cant. I'm sorry. I got within 100 pages of finishing it but I just dont care about the story, or the characters, or this love triangle, or this overly-talented heroine. I wanted to like it, I really did since I borrowed it from family, but I just cannot care. DNF.

My comfort read is this series. After an 8 year hiatus from reading, I finally have found my peace and I'm rereading. This brings me so much joy. Mercy is a fantastic character to follow.
