Really thought I could make it through this series even though the writing feels like fanfiction written by a preteen. But after finishing this book, I can't read the last two books. I feel like I'm losing braincells along with months of time I could be spending reading actually good fantasy with good representation.
I've rarely given up on any book that has queer representation, no matter how poorly written. But I feel like I just read two books that want to prove every idiot who says bisexuals will cheat on you right. Don't try to tell me two women have such deep love for each other when they both decide to have a romance with men. I'm all for bisexual rep, when you're not trying to convince me that the two women are still in love, but it's okay that they're fucking everything that breathes as well.

i looooooove an accurate representation of bisexuality :) (who you’re dating currently doesn’t make your sexuality any less valid!!!) and i love that nox and amaris both explore this from very different angles. nox, who has never been treated kindly by a man, finally meets one with kind intentions and realizes she has the capacity to be attracted to men. and amaris, who has never explored her true feelings for nox because she’s been mostly attracted to men. at the end of the day neither of them can deny their feelings for each other and i love their story
