I was preparing myself for a gut punch at the end based on every review post that Piper’s shared to her stories on IG. But I was suspecting a much different gut punch than what actually happened. HOW DARE YOU MAKE ME FEEL FEELINGS?!?

Incredible world building, compelling main characters, relatable and charming dialogue and compelling main conflict. For a self-proclaimed bisexual series I wish there was more queer content in comparison to the heterosexual content.

I loved the relationship growth between Nox, Ash, and Malik! I always enjoyed reading Nox's POV throughout the story. But as for Amaris, I cannot help but be weirded out by her relationship with Gadriel. If I remember correctly, Amaris is freshly 18 and Gadriel is old af. Not to mention, their intimate scene was literally right before Amaris and Nox reunited and it lowkey ruined it for me. I don't know if it's because Nox is my fave and I am jealous FOR her (which may be true considering that I love Nox and Malik together), or if I truly just hate Gadriel, but I feel like the whole point of the story is Nox and Amaris being the one for each other, but they both fell for other people?? Maybe I have jealousy issues but it actually made me sick reading that. BUT other than Amaris and Gadriel, I LOVE the dynamic between Nox, Ash, and Malik and Nox is such an amazing character.
