I'm so torn on this series. I'm really interested in the story, so I keep reading. But it feels like it takes FOREVER to get anywhere. This book would have benefited from a few rounds of edits. I'll will probably read book 3, but I'm going to take a break for now.

Did I read this in less than a week? Yes. I devoured it. I love the world building and character building. It’s unique to Piper and I can’t wait to have more!

If you enjoyed The Night and It’s Moon by Piper CJ, then buckle up, because you won’t be able to put The Sun and It’s Shade down! TNAIM is a masterpiece on its own, but somehow TSAIS is even better! We’ve gotten to know the main characters pretty well by now, so we have a decent understanding of how Nox and Amaris will react emotionally and physically to each new challenge they face. Or so we think. Nox’s journey with the Reevers throw challenges her way that upend her world view, reshaping her mind, body, and soul. Now facing the daunting task of fulfilling her mission from Uaimh Reev as a lone Reever, Amaris must call on every ounce of her training as she navigates new alliances, secret ops, and impossible odds. Piper CJ has a gift for seamlessly weaving together incredibly detailed and nuanced plot lines that twist in unexpected ways, while dropping just enough breadcrumbs to stoke fan theory speculation into wildfire. TSAIS is a wild ride from beginning to end. And it’s one you do not want to miss. BUY THIS BOOK!!!
