This book was incredible!

First of all the cover is stunning which certainly drew my attention to it and the premise sounded so good that I just knew I had to read it. This is a relatively short book at just under 240 pages but it packs a lot in. The plot hooked me right from the start and I loved the dark and detailed imagery that filled the pages and created a truly atmospheric story that I did not want to put down!

I loved the main character, Hyacinth, who refused to change herself for anyone and is constantly pushing the limits of the villages' beliefs as her stubbornness to bow down to the Teeth simultaneously terrifies her and liberates her. The overall sense of fear throughout the novel is also so consuming for the reader and the terrors of the Teeth and the Deep might just make you have nightmares too!

This book was full of atmosphere, darkness and fear as Hyacinth navigates her new life with her unwanted husband where disturbing horror lurks close by.
