DNF at 30%. Prior update was: Okay, i'm not sure i'm going to keep moving forward with this book. The characters are all over the place, one minute she's pissed and doesn't like them, then next she's dry humping them. One minute the guys cannot trust her at all and swear she's working w her uncle and then the next they claim her and are working together?? What even.

I thought and sat on this for a bit and I don’t see myself finishing this book. The characters felt immature, the storyline and thought process of the characters were confusing, I just didn’t love the first book enough to push through the remaining series. I did like the concept of the book from what I gathered, I just couldn’t vibe with the execution of it fully. To elaborate a bit, the girl has absolutely no idea what her uncle is involved in (nor does the reader for sure) and she blindly decided to team up w three men who have been out to get her when her uncle is the only family she has??? this doesn’t make sense to me, there’s no fighting, there’s no true lack of trust, it just doesn’t make sense. Anyways this is of course just my opinion, I’ve seen others who have adored this book and that’s okay! just not my cup of tea this time :)

Well, if you felt like you were punched in the heart after the cliffhanger in Merciless Kings, you will definitely be torn to pieces when you are done reading Vicious Queen. I’ve finished reading it two days ago, yet I am still under the influence. The Boneyard Kings and Everly slowly put away their differences and their suspicions of each other and become a unit in this installment. Arguably, their off the charts chemistry and incredibly sensual moments play a huge role in that but the kings also find peace and calm with Everly as if she is balm to their broken souls. But again, let me emphasize one more time; the intimate scenes’ hotness level is through the roof

Talk about a roller coaster ride! This wild story will have you both wanting to turn the pages faster and also scared to turn them as Everly and the guys work out some puzzling questions from the last book. New questions emerge and there are so many twists and turns you will need a minute to catch your breath. Saint Matteo and Callum never claim to be the good guys, but their alpha streak is so hot Everly can overlook some of the bad things done for good reasons. Grab some popcorn and buckle up, the ending will have you counting down the minutes until the next book!

TITLE: Vicious Queen
GENRE: New Adult Romance
AUTHOR: Becca Steele & C. Lymari
TROPE: Reverse Harem, Romance Suspense, Enemies-to-Lovers
TYPE: Series (Boneyard Kings #2)
POV: Multiple POV
MY RATING: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ / 5

Vicious Queen picked up right where Merciless Kings left off. I finished Merciless Kings in December, but Vicious Queen was able to pick up the story while familiarizing me with where the cliffhanger left off a few months back. This book has angst, secrets and intensity; on top of that, the interactions between Everly and the Boneyard Kings were very spicy. The storyline moves back and forth between the present and memories from the past, but I thought the transitions flowed well. Warning you will be left with another delicious and somewhat frustrating cliffhanger until Ruthless Kingdom comes out in May. I am still really enjoying the series and can't wait to see how the story evolves. After burning through the book in one sitting, I give Vicious Queen 4-4.5 stars.

‘What did I call them? Friends? Boyfriends? How did I describe a relationship I seemed to have fallen in with three men that I was equally into, and all seemed to have no problem with the way things were?’—-what a nice problem to have lol.

Vicious Queen picks up where Merciless Kings left off. Everly & the guys make a commitment to each other & it’s hot AF
