ARC REVIEW NETGALLEY

I COULD NOT EVEN GET PAST THE INTRODUCTION, DNF / Do not recommended. Lack of knowledge and use of this tool without the proper teaching then wanting to pass along it in a very unknowlegable fashion but flash.

You will gain nothing from this tarot book other than to be cultish with the new age tarot community

Again I’m a 6th Generation reading, Aunts and mother grandmother etc and 30+ Years experience

Truly enjoyed this! Read it cover to cover with my cards and am now excited to keep it out to supplement daily practice. If you're not familiar with tarot definitely pick up a more informative book first since this one doesn't dive deeply into the actual card meanings and is more focused on exercises related to the subjective energy of the cards. But if you have some knowledge already and are looking for a great way to connect more with the cards and with your self definitely pick it up! The writing style is so readable and lovely, the author's voice is like a warm hug.

This is an informative and wonderfully written guide to Tarot. This book breaks each card down by giving a general overview of the card, and then providing affirmations, reflections and activities. The activities within this book are perfect because a lot of them are writing based or simple activities that are easier to fit into everyday life.

I really love how simply Ru-Lee explained each card. They easily breaks down what a card means without focusing solely on symbolism on the card. That means that you can use this guidebook for any tarot deck. Many tarot books focus solely on the Rider Waite decks and the symbols frequent on those decks, which quickly becomes a problem if you don’t want to use those decks.  As someone who has many decks that don’t have the normal RW symbolism this book has been very helpful.

Ru-Lee also provides a lot of pop culture references to help you correspond a card with a certain type of person. I found this really helpful when trying to understand what the card was telling me because I could visualize an actual character with these traits. Overall, this was a fantastic and very helpful guide book. I highly recommend it for beginners and those trying to start a daily practice.
