out of the agatha christie mysteries i've read so far, this one was the most enticing and most surprising! i absolutely love when there's a map included for reference and I kept flipping back to it. the most annoying thing about this was Nurse Leatheran, our narrator, since she is so judgmental and mean and racist but what do you expect from a book written in 1936 which takes place in Iraq. also this book would be banned in Isr**l since it mentions Palestine multiple times <3

at the beginning I always pick a character that I think it is. this time around I thought it was Carey. I was wrong!
