After finishing book 1 I immediately picked up this one because I loved the writing so much. Set with different main characters than book 1, but i did have an idea of who these characters were already, there were a few cross over side characters and Bee and Nolan make an appearance, but i really didnt feel like i had to read the first book before reading this one.

As with book 1, this book is absolutely hilarious, I laughed consistently throughout and again, super smutty! I really enjoyed how instead of showing the s3x positive experience again it flipped the conversation and showed purity culture and how damaging it can be.

I also loved how the writers were able to make me feel so empathetic with the characters that if I could d1e of secondhand embarrassment, I would have during the candy cane pocket rocket scene because I was begging the ground to open up and swallow us both!!!

Winnie Baker may be the most annoying character I’ve ever had the displeasure of reading her POV from. I was basically begging to be in Kallums POV when it changed. At least he wasn’t an ahole. And wasn’t saying odd things like “be a brave little toaster”.
Spoiler I also desperately hate the pregnancy trope and so many romances end this way. It was disappointing that the last 50% was focused on this.
Also, I feel like a petition is needed to end authors using terms like slit and seam and folds and flaps to describe female anatomy. It isn’t sexy; it’s gross.

I adored this story and being back in Christmas Notch! It was a unique way to use the “teach me” trope. I adored Kallum right away - he was sweet and charismatic and goofy. Winnie as a FMC experienced a ton of growth throughout the book. At times it felt like the story was dragging and I was waiting forever for them to make their way back to one another. However, the ending was really sweet! I loved the dedication to Slice, Slice, Baby as a plot line and these stars showing their “normal” side outside of just being tv and movie actors.

Cute Christmas theme read.
Lost a star for pregnancy and using full names.
I liked both characters. The purity thing was nauseating as I grew up with people like that but felt they deconstructed it well to show how problematic it is and how it seriously fucks up people.
Enjoyed the spice of the two characters. Overall very good.
