Was this predictable? Yes. But was it entertaining? Also yes.

I think this was a pretty classic mystery -- simple, traditional, but still good in my opinion. I did think the company was really interesting and put a more modern-spin on the classic books it took inspiration from (like 'and then there were none'). I don't think the plot twists were particularly twisty. But I think the atmosphere and the feel of isolation and claustrophobia are the best parts of the book.

There were a lot of characters, but I thought Ruth Ware did a good job at making them all distinct. The characters were incredibly unlikable, but I really enjoyed reading about them?? I loved the setting, and I found the app and company super interesting. And even though I guessed the killer pretty early on, I couldn't put the book down?? I stayed up until 3 AM reading this last night lol. I would recommend if you like super atmospheric reads or traditional mysteries.

It felt like a chore to get through this, and the villain was painfully obvious. But the setting was interesting and there were distinct and interesting characters.

2.5 stars .... easy read and I like the ski chalet setting but very predictable plot line

An enjoyable read, but with a frustrating and predictable conclusion.
As my book club buddy would say, this book was a “Clue-esque” who-dunnit.
