This book
Made me fall in love with Shakespeare again.
Made me fall in love with theatre again.
Made me fall in love with reading and books and dark academia and love and friendship again.
It’s so incredibly beautiful, I fell in love with the characters almost immediately, all of them rich and unique and flawed and funny and whole and human. I wish I could write characters like M L Rio can.
There was not a single detail forgotten, I got to the end and the satisfaction that came from every. single. loose end being tied up in a way that made sense and broke my heart at the same time.
The friends I was with when I finished this book will tell you how incredibly heartbroken I was. I’m not sure when i’ll recover but I’ll let you know when it happens.

Just finished reading: 11.39pm
Well, I didn't see it going that way. What I loved most about this was the friendship dynamics and how the characters interacted with each other.
I love Shakespeare so this was a really fun read, and I'm sure there's some symbolism about the Lear casting to the main plot if I weren't so tired. I tore through this and couldn't put it down.

This is such a fun dark academia murder mystery. I am a fan of Shakespeare and loved all the quotes and references throughout. A classic tragedy and I really liked the ending.
