I was not a fan of this one, which is super disappointing because I loved Night Shift. There were too many characters and timelines to keep straight in my head, and it all felt anticlimactic to me.

Told in third-person, multiple perspectives, and timelines. The tropes are missing persons, family drama, and college town. The story reveals each characters secrets and motivations, but I found that there were a few characters that felt underdeveloped. I also felt that there were too many pov's, and I think it took away from the plot. I feel like I will forget this story and that nothing stood out.

Parents Weekend built so much suspense: a cohort of college students go missing while their parents are all in town for the school’s parents weekend. Another student’s body is discovered, but doesn’t explain why the others disappeared together. The parents have their own dark pasts — could their secrets be at the root of the mystery? So much suspense! But… I didn’t find the ending very satisfying. I felt like it could have gone several different directions, and any of them would have been better than the actual resolution.
