When I saw this title on NetGalley, I instantly requested it. I love the other Alex Finlay books I’ve read. This was a fun thriller that I kept picking up whenever I found a few minutes to read. It was fun to see some recurring characters (you don’t need to have read his other books first).
Of course, the drama was high and a bit unbelievable in parts, but I liked the characters and settings.
Thank you to the publisher, author, and NetGalley for the eARC.

I found this to be an enjoyable thriller to read. From the first few chapters, I was drawn in and found the plot to be engaging and well paced. Most of the characters were a bit cliche but it was a bad thing for the story. I enjoyed all the red herrings that were thrown into the plot and how it’s not until the last few chapters does the real motive come out. Overall, a clever and fast read for anyone looking to enjoy a good thriller!
Parents Weekend was a quick and entertaining thriller. I flew through it, and the audiobook narrator, Brittany Pressley, did an amazing job. The story had some good twists, but there were too many characters for me. It made things feel a little all over the place at times. Still, it delivered on the suspense and kept me curious enough to see how it all played out.

Parents Weekend
By Alex Finlay
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Fast-paced, multi-POV psychological thriller centered around 5 families at the college tradition of parents weekend.
The setting is Santa Clara University in Northern California, which is only about an hour away from where I live.
I’m sure if this book will haunt me for a long time because I am the parent of a college student and an almost-college student (why does high school go by so fast?!) The ‘activities’ on campus are real fears of mine.
All that said, this was a good book. The premise was unique and Alex Finlay’s shocking twist was executed expertly.
At times it was hard to keep track of all the characters but that might just be a me problem.
