This is a YA novel with a contemporary setting. It has mean girls, friendship drama, new-girl-at-school drama, crushes, drinking, worries about first-time sex, new step-family issues, lifestyle differences, loneliness, etc. Added to all of this is the aftermath of a parent's death. Much of the communication occurs in texting, and important parts of the plot involve a secret identity texted. I am definitely not the target audience.. This is specifically for the teen girl who is trying to navigate high school and adolescence.

ani nevím jestli jsem vůbec někdy přečetla knihu za 2 dny. bylo to roztomilý a furt vás to nutilo číst z nějakého důvodu dál, asi aby jste zjistili kdo je NN. hrozně moc jsem se tam ztotožňovala s hlavní postavou.

Very cute, but I never quite clicked with all of the characters. I wanted more Ethan and Theo, but the rest were hit or miss for me.

I absolutely LOVED this book, especially the protagonist, Jessie. She was extremely relatable, as a fellow book nerd, and I loved her story and her character arch. I was immediately pulled into this book and it was one of those books where it genuinely hurt to put down. Definitely, would recommend this book to anyone who loves contemporaries and sweet/awesome stories.
