Quite fun. I would read the first book and this as a prequel, rather than the other way around. I enjoyed it. The author did a nice job reading.

Delightful! Watching the main character select various eccentric characters for his mysterious project was fun and enjoyable. It was also a bit slim on details, which made it more mysterious. I really look forward to reading the main series to see how these folks manage to work together.

This is an interesting short story about how st. Mary's was created and the recruitment of the first members. It is probably best read after Just One Damned Thing after Another, although it happens before it. It makes more sense and is more interesting if you are already familiar with the characters when you begin.
A great insight into how it all started and where the original members of st. Mary's came from. Certainly a must read for fans of the series but hopeless as a stand-alone (and is probably not intended to be read without reading the other books as well) and not much of a storyline as such. I highly recommend reading this if you have read Just One Damned Thing after Another, if not then I recommend reading that book first.
The audiobook is read by the author who does a good job, although I do prefer Zara Ramm who reads the other books in the series.
