This is a poetry book so I didn’t read it straight through. It is sectioned into different seasons of life that I believe the poet has gone through. I bought this book back in 2021 because it was all over the internet and all the girlies were saying it changed their life. I was influenced to say the least. It was a good book but it could be triggering at times. If poetry is your thing then give it try, but I believe she has newer work out there that might be better!

I enjoyed the writing style and though some aspects of the book were thought provoking. The prose was excellent and the story was raw and confronting. 
I just didn’t love it. I also understand that I may not be the intended audience.

Not the biggest fan of this type of poetry, because it sometimes just feels like the author is hitting enter randomly.... Some of them just don't feel like poems. Others feel like poems but they are so basic even I could have written it, and I'm literally dyslexic.
Anyway there were a couple of good ones, if there were more like those in the book I would probably buy a physical copy. But for now, probably not going to buy it. So I guess thanks to my library for allowing me to read this without spending money.

LOVED THIS SO MUCH!!!!! Milk and Honey is a powerful poetry book about childhood trauma, rape, toxic relationships, falling in and out of love, and loving yourself. I got the 10yr anniversary edition a few months ago and I def recommend both of them if u like poetry. Rupi Kaur inspired me to start writing my own poetry and realize that not every poetry book is Shakespeare and ye olde english type shi. highly recommend but it is not at all a book about light and fluffy topics.

This collection of poems ranged from sad and traumatizing to powerful and uplifting. Will read again and again when facing future heartbreak to help heal my soul.

I don’t know if this is really my jam this whole poetry collection thing. Like I get it I just don’t think I rock. Felt like meh. Seemed so hype back in highschool had no idea what it was even about besides poetry so I kind of went in blind. Last portion was my favorite.
