I'm not completely sure I understood this, but I definitely recognized it, and that's what I wanted. Something that not only used Gaiman's characters and ideas, but had the same feeling as the original. This was unsettling, disturbing, at turns gross and sad. Exactly what I wanted.

Nearly as good as the House of Whispers series and way better than I was expecting it to be. Loved all the nightmare interludes featuring guest artists and the two hitmen who could have walked out of a Clive Barker story. And there's a character reveal that I did not see coming but put such a smile on my face. You can really tell Tynion loves The Sandman and I can't wait to see how this story unfolds.
