Unique Long Narrative Poem!

I liked this long narrative poem. It was a unique read, and I loved the way the prose put together a story that flowed. "Most humans see just what they can, and have no concept of the span, of much their senses can't reveal, they know not of what's truly real." It takes a real talent to tell a story in prose, and have it make sense. This story was very good. I truly liked it.

This was such a cute title, I definitely had to check it out! While not the typical ‘cat lady’ you probably have in mind, this collection of poems tells the story of an old woman in Rome who can talk to cats and with their help, tries to grant a dying man’s wish.

My overall opinion: short and sweet! It’s a quick read if that’s something you look for, made easier by the rhyming lines, but it’s also really enjoyable. You get a glimpse into the life of a woman who is largely ignored by her society, and get to see the magical world she lives in. I thought it was a really creative story, both with the relationship between the woman and the cats, and the quest they go on to fulfill the Cardinal’s wish. A really nice story, for cat-lovers or non!
