The Few is about two characters of the same name - one is a girl who has been married off to an older man, and then taken to England. She never has the chance to leave the apartment and is abused every day, until she finally has the chance to escape. Life isn’t easy though, and she does what she can to survive.

Meanwhile, a little boy, whose father is in prison and mother passes away, forces himself to bury his mother to avoid going to an orphanage. He raises himself by stealing scraps of food and constantly telling people his mother is just sick. After trying to put himself in a better spot, he joins smugglers and is recruited to murder someone, ending up in prison.

How will these lives intertwine?

It was interesting but definitely felt like it dragged on for a bit. I traveled to Istanbul earlier this year though, so it was really fun to be reading and recognizing streets I walked.
