I found The Name of All Things much easier to follow than the first book in the series. This is probably due to being more familiar with Jenn Lyons's writing style, but I also think the timelines were set up a little better as we switched between the third and first perspectives.

I read the first book , and really did like it . I started this one maybe two months later ? Oh my . It’s so so confusing . Normally I wouldn’t mind and I’m usually able
to push through but I genuinely do not know what’s going on and I’m not going to force myself to finish .
