the story has an unreliable storyteller but by the time you figure it out, you are already emotionally tied to the main character. the rollercoaster of emotions and the simple writing makes the reader eager to get to the end of the story but by the middle you don't want it to end.
Took me exactly 5 days to finish this book despite on busy days at work.

The story started when the protagonist, Yu Jin woke up covered in blood and found his dead mother in their home. I love how the story unfolded slowly and Yu Jin mom's journal.
One thing that I can learnt, a mother's love is unconditional and endless.
The ending was excellent and how I wish we could see more on Hae Jin, the adopted son.
The story sometimes complicated in a good way and I need to re-read it.

I read this for the Korean readathon. I really enjoyed this thriller.
