DID NOT FINISH

The emotional connection was lacking. 0 communication. Too many secrets. A review told me there was a large twist that involved action and the Mafia and that wasn't what I was looking for

I was enjoying this one until the Jason of it all. I disliked Jason from the moment he treated Aaron's patient like trash right in front of him. Finding out Aaron saw that and still dropped everything and ran,  entirely forgetting about talking up promises to help a kid's future just made me hate Aaron a bit. His obsessive moping over the dead ass he didn't even like by the end made me dislike him even more. Forget the crush and romance plot entirely. Jason was a prick and Aaron little better.

Look, it’s getting 4 stars for the first like 70% but what in the absolute f*ck was that entire third act? Was the author tripping? Did they get confused about what book they were writing? And why is it just neatly resolved in such a random ass way? The f*ck???

For me this book ended with Chapter 28.
I am baffled by this plot twist and will not be reading further.

Lile wtf do you mean Jason faked his death, let Aaron handle all his debt and then has the gall to knock on his door when he finally is happy again? I‘ll just pretend I never read that and everything‘s fine
