I just bought a copy of this after returning the library's. It's a daily meditation-type thing. And it's wonderful.

I read this starting last July (I know, I’m a weirdo for starting a yearly reader in the middle of the year, but alas). This has been such a daily comfort, especially considering the existential trauma of 2020. There were days where the reading seemed to be *exactly what I needed.

I let go... of this book 😆

Daily meditations are key, more so when the need or want for change is apparent. This book is adaptable to any situation/scenario that life brings us.

I would like to have a physical copy of this book. I love everything Beattie writes.

Not for me. Too religious and I'm not codependent (I have enough problems, thank you).

Rarely do I complete any “one year” reading plans, but I genuinely looked forward to this reading every day.  So, so good.

I will probably always refer to this book. Some pages are just what life is supposed to be about. In my opinion. Melody has helped me in so many ways and I can’t recommend her work enough to those of us who struggle to love and trust ourselves.

I love this book. It helped me get through one of the hardest times in my life. I appreciate that each day is generally about a page, so the concepts and message are very digestible and can be steadily integrated into your life. Even if you don’t have codependency issues or similar relationships in your life, it can still be a useful tool for creating healthy boundaries, expressing your needs and desires in a healthy, productive way, and generally just help you remember you are a good person (even if you do have issues you’re working on).
