While this book suffers for a lot o info-dump, Essun, Nassun, and Schaffa relationship is most fascinating in this sequel.

much more slower paced compared to the first, kinda forced myself through the book until the last 100 pages. still curious to see how the trilogy ends off, bit of a shame as the first book was 5 stars for me!
