Jesus Christ this book killed me
I didn’t start crying until after benji’s death, I just didn’t believe it for a while
I didn’t pick up this book again for like a year but reading it just feels like home again, I love this book love this series so much

I love this series and all the characters. The first beartown is one of my very favorite books. My main complaint with The Winners was the constant doomsday foreshadowing at the end of almost every chapter and chapter break. Like. We get it- bad stuff is going to happen. Somehow that didn’t take away from the “big event” but I almost expected more because of all of it. Great series overall.

Would be 5 stars if I wasn't suffering from foreshadowing fatigue.

Compared to the other two, this was my least favorite of the series but it still made me smile and tear up at the end. Wanted more hockey and less talking in circles. But still enjoyed and will always recommend this series. (Would rate it 3.5 out of 5 and probably being harsher on it just because I expected SO much).

I'm so angry at so much of this book, but it was exactly good enough to motivate me to continue reading to the end of the series.

Two things I would change: 1. Either cut 250 pages or split this into two books, and 2.
if you're going to kill your gay character, don't make him the only one!

Anyway, I was here for the women and gays, and only them. Everything and everyone else felt like hockey (boring, cold and violent).
