That was it. The last book. I enjoyed living in the same world as Benji Ovich one more time but this wasn't my favorite book of the series. It was way too long and maybe a little overcomplicated.
I cared about most of the characters. Nothing new there. But I would've been ok without some of the storylines. No need to cover everything that's wrong with the world in one book. Or maybe there is a need because we always need a reminder about how everything is tangled and grey in the real world. No sign of 0s and 1s. Everything.. almost everything just falls in between.

I'm a total Backman fangirl, so I was excited when this third Beartown book was announced. And I really did enjoy it. (I basically inhaled it in one weekend.) I love his writing and I loved being back with these characters. BUT. I did wonder if we really needed this third book. Like, was it really necessary? And it was just a smidge too long...
It is not my favorite of the trilogy, but the ending was perfection.

I cannot decide if I loved or hated this book. I hate the fact that more violences were brought in again, after the two previous books, especially to the characters you have grown to love. First half of the book it keeps saying that this horrible thing would happen, it is mentioned so often so you would hope maybe it is just an author’s twist and wouldn’t actually happen, but it still does happen. First time for a long time I bawled my eyes out
