It was cute.
But didn't feel at all like The Nightmare Before Christmas. Different vibes, but a nice read for someone much younger probably.

I truly adore this story. That's all I can really say. It was impeccably done and I'm happy to have read it and to own it.

Received an advanced copy the the ALA conference. This book was so cute and I loved visiting the other doors finally after all these years.

If you like pixie hollow, rise of the guardians and a court of mist and fury… this is for you.

Listen, this is everything I knew i wanted. The writing at times was a bit annoying. The words “quiet” and “seams” probably appear at least 3 times a chapter and in the SAME CONTEXT…. Like we get it thank you. I think Sally’s exploration of realms should’ve lasted longer than like half a page per realm. The plot twist was… PHEW. I didn’t like it at first bc NBC canon got my brain confused but I think by the end of the book I wasn’t completely mad at the decision. Sally is so incredibly relatable, her character feeling trapped and not wanting to be center of attention alongside her very boisterous aloof but in charge husband makes all the sense. SPEAKING OF JACK, they are SO INCREDIBLY! CUTE TOGETHER. TEARS! TEARS WERE SHED! Zero remained true to himself, so lovely and loyal. Some parts seemed to dragged and some went by too quickly. But all in all as a NBC stan who’s been wanting more exploration into realms and lore this is exactly what I needed. Hoping for more books with more adventures with the pumpkin queen and her skeleton king ❤️
