Meh. Would probably be an enjoyable book for a teen, but I am not a teen and expected more. It wasn’t bad; it just wasn’t good either.

The story is unique and the characters while flawed are loveable.

a cute witchy queer YA book, focused on the teen heart ache, self conciousness and navigating peer relationships. I really liked the threading of the tarot throughout the book.

This book is definitely more than meets the eye, in the best way possible. Keeping itself firmly rooted in reality, Scelsa puts forward something that feels comfortable and difficult at the same time. The characters are here to help one another through tough times and triumphs, and Eleanor's story is one of intense growth. This definitely fits with what I wanted from it, no major theatrics, no hard fantasy breaking up the moments of tension, just people finding their people. One of my new absolute recommendations.
