I related to so much of what was said in this book. Wrestling with what the Church’s role should be now and my place in it - it was refreshing to know I am not alone in my questioning and hope. Teachers like Barbara Brown Taylor encourage me so much as I walk through deconstruction/reconstruction in my faith. Highly recommend this one.

Good memoir about how ministry often gets in the way of ministering. How it's ok to leave the clergy but not leave Jesus or his people. How to be ok with uncertainty and embrace the beauty of mystery.

Would be affirming to most people who have been in ministry and deconstructed.

Had some really good lines and things that made me feel seen. But also felt a bit guarded and attempting to be poetic.
