Nádherný, pohádkový, norsko-mytologický příběh. A ty ilustrace, úžasné. Zatím mě toto duo Gaiman+Riddell nikdy nezklamalo :) Moc doporučuji. Na zimní večery je kniha jako dělaná.

Listening to the audio version made it much better. Gaiman narrates all of his audio books. I recommend!
Such a pleasure hearing Neil read his own stuff. He reads in a lazy, slow, gentle way on this book, so that you're almost put to sleep (in the best way possible). This is a story based on Norse myth, where a young boy conquers giants. Sweet, pleasant, charming.
I enjoyed this book more than I thought I would and loved the Norse setting. I think this book is a great way to introduce young readers to Norse Mythology, but wished that there could be a little for descriptions of the Gods so that young readers could get more out of the story. Overall the story was fun and enjoyable.

Thank you, Neil Gaiman, for writing books that I actually yearn to put in the hands of my children. Books that I will also read and love and share fondly with them. You, sir, are a gem.
Neil Gaiman is incredible. I only gave this three stars because it was my least favorite Neil Gaiman book - but the bar is set really high with him. Very short, very cute story. I could see this as something I will read to my kids one day :)
