Im still like mulling this read over and honestly it feels unfinished to me. The way this ends albeit being a happy ending I just have a bugging feeling that it’s unfinished and it hasn’t gone away.
The characters are amazing and the plot twist with such an unexpected villain and I guess some redemption kind of arc of a villain from the first book definitely suprised me.
But overall these are good reads and would recommend. They’re just not my all time faves as a duology. Just missing out on the five star that only all time faves get with me.

I liked this book way more than the first one! The ending was very rushed though, I felt like I couldn't breathe... Also unlike the first book, I did shed a few tears with this one! Especially with one particular character... I'm still sad about it tbh.
But anyway, I'm glad that I read this duology despite not loving it 100%! It was a fast and quite enjoyable read!
Also this book had some unexpected disability rep and it was pretty decent in my opinion. Wish they mentioned it a bit more though... But yeah I was glad to see a fellow young person use a cane as a mobility aid in a YA book!

This was a really good sequel to These Witches Don't Burn. I really liked how the problem was taken to a large scale and felt that it was a realistic jump to take. I also really appreciated that the author didn't hold back on characters having bad things happen to them - there were some really good twists and surprises.
