Okay first of all, I LOVED the idea of the game 'Panic'.
I loved how well all was written, and how it was written in not only Heather's POV but also Dodge's.
However, I didn't really like some.. I'm not sure what the term is in English but Google Translate translated into 'time jumps'? XD
I get that most were necessary, otherwise the story would become a bit prosy, but for me, some just felt a bit wrong.
Like, I liked and didn't like the last chapters. I mean, the ending itself was adorable and I couldn't wish for a better one, but I felt like it was very rushed because of that last 'time jump'.
But to sum it up, I loved this book. I enjoyed it very much and I'm very glad I decided not to skip this one!

woweeee, I picked this book up on a whim, thinking it sounded decent and it definitely surpassed my expectations. It was a good read! By no means was it perfect but it was certainly enjoyable. The book is essentially about a dead-end town, where every summer high school graduates participate in the hush-hush and messed up game of Panic to win a load of moneyyyy. I enjoyed how the book shifted perspectives between the main characters. In certain books, this can be overwhelming but when done right, with just the right amount of new information it can be a great insight into the characters. This was the case here ye. I loved how you got to see the main character, Heather, change as a person and grow into this refined and brave new person over the course of the summer and this book. She was so scared and focused on why she wasn’t good enough, all of these negatives and insecurities, but throughout the course of the summer you could see how she changed. She became stronger, more confident and so much happier. It was actually
beautiful to read about. I was pretty much on the edge of my seat for the entire second half of the book, it was honestly wiLD. It’s terrifying to know how little you truly know about other people, and this book emphasised this above all. From Bishop who was secretly a judge and in love with Heather, to Dodge who was planning on killing Ray, to Nat who had some pretty weird ish going on throughout the entire book. I gotta admit though, I was pretty eh about Nat and Dodge getting together in the end, their relationship was a bit yikes. All in all, I really enjoyed this book.

I did enjoy reading this. As I did with every book Lauren Oliver has written so far (and that I've read, obviously).
The beginning is this plunging into the middle of the story; no prologue, no talking, just pure action and the game. Panic.
I thought that this game was a pretty cool idea. Except for being extremely dangerous and reckless for the participants. But. It was real. It is what teenagers that have graduated recently would do. For money. For their dreams.
The story is told from two perspectives: Heather's and Dodge's. I didn't really care for Dodge too much, much less for Nat. But I really enjoyed reading from Heather's point of view. She and actually everyone of the characters were so realistic; they were not perfect, they had problems and they all wanted to win the big pot of gold for their own reasons.
I thought that the ending wasn't as action-packed as it could have been, although that would have been a bit too much and pretty unbelievable. So I really enjoyed how the ending was portrayed and I really, really thought that the ending scene had something epic and majestic in it.
So I definitely do recommend this novel and hope that everyone who reads it will enjoy it as much as I did! :)

It was pretty neat overall but I think I expected a different vibe than the one I got which kinda threw me off haha
Anne was great but I felt little to no attachment to the main characters except for the second to last chapter.
So yea it was ok
