Bill Clinton and James Patterson. As my dear ole' grandpa always says about things as absurd as an ex-president co-writing a political thriller: "Who'd've thunked?"
This book was 56% boring, 14% exciting, and 30% okay. I have to admit that I resorted to speed-reading and even skipping full sentences to get by, and it definitely could've been written in just 250-300 pages. Also, I don't think political thrillers are for me.

It took a LONG time to get going but the last third of the book is good.

I really enjoyed this book - I did figure it out before the end but the suspense kept me going. President Duncan is a true patriot and the plot in this book was well written.

For a 500+ page book that could easily serve as a doorstop, it's a fast and engaging read.

It takes a good 150 pages to get moving, but when it does it's a fast paced exciting thriller.
Unfortunately, I could do without the last chapter which is pretty much a manifesto for political office. (And does the very American thing of taking all the credit for something that involved people from multiple countries)

It was ok, thought it dragged a bit in the beginning. The last third of the book went fast. Not your normal-paced Patterson.

I think we have very different definitions of “missing”.
This book had me for a second and lost me so fast.
