Very few thoughts. Mostly vibes. I enjoyed this book but I needed a full list/diagram to keep the huge group of supporting characters straight in my head.

Sam’s struggle in life is not so much based on his disability itself (he seems to have adapted rather well) but how he is perceived and treated by certain people.
Having to jump through hoops because one social worker deems him unfit to care for a child is a nightmare.
Niko comes with his own set of „problems“. Still struggling to find his place in life after an injury ends his career as professional hockey player.
Those two are immediately drawn towards each other, both claiming not to want a relationship.
Well, we know how that turned out

So I have now re-read this one.
I really really liked Niko but Sam is a character I struggled with from the start.
As much as I enjoyed Niko I will not be adjusting my rating because Sam just didn't work for me.

Sam and Niko were very sweet together, and I think they meshed really well. I also thought that Sam is an absolute champion, going through everything he did for Maisy's sake. He's such a good dad and deserves the world! The Iron and Works family is so supportive and good to one another.
The only thing I wasn't 100% about was that the pacing was a bit off for me, I felt like the build up was longer than the amount of time they were a couple which obviously is understandable since they only just met at the beginning of the book but I do prefer getting to read books when the couple is established earlier on.

Well written
I enjoyed these two men finding and accepting each other. I thought the disability topic was handled well and gave me more appreciation for my able body. These men were strong and determined if a little bruised from life. Maisey was great.
