Books need to be written about topics like child abuse, teaching children who they can talk to and how to make it better, but these books should also be written well.
Unfortunately, while the message is clear in the book, the children talking feels archaic and strange. The illustrations are overly simplistic, and it keeps it from feeling like a book to read to start conversations, and more like a lesson.
Stars for the message, not for the communication.
