I am beyond amazed and mega grateful I picked this up by accident. This poly omegaverse romance is one of a kind to me because I have never seen a poly relationship that's not strictly reverse harem whychoose. The distinction in that lies in the fact that reverse harems have one FMC that is central to the relationships, which this book isn't.

I am also unsure if Billie is nb or afab with they/them pronouns but there's also another female character besides our main FMC in this poly relationship. The pack consists of three alphas, two betas and an omega and while that might seem a tad too much, their own individual relationships within that pack made it work. Nicky, the beta, was introduced to the pack when their dynamics and chemistry with each other were already well established for years. That apprehension and small reluctance from Nicky was understandable from her point of view, even though she had such great chemistry with the pack members from the get-go. I love how each pack members approached Nicky on their own terms and timeline because it made their connections more real and organic. Their feelings for Nicky and her joining their pack were as authentic as they navigate the change in their 5-member pack dynamics. I enjoyed Nicky's integration among them as much as I love seeing Nicky grow more confidence in both herself as a person and as a beta. Her relationship with her family, particularly her brother was so endearing although I had my hackles up for quite sometime because of her mother motherhen-ing too hard, but they worked it out in the end. The pack members were all amazing and their acceptance of Nicky within their family made me love them wholeheartedly. I love Billie and their addicting exuberance and golden retriever personality. They're the type of extrovert that adopts introverts in their spare time except with Nicky, they're extra loving without being pushy and overbearing. I love Tony's aloofness and protectiveness. He's the buffer that watches over Billie's shenanigans and steers them out of trouble, unless he decides to join in the fun. I love Jasper's loving personality and his desire to please Nicky and the pack, His love language is obviously an act of service doused with physical touch because he's such a cuddly snuggle buddy. I love Gabe's calm and collected nature and how the pack naturally turn to him for comfort and guidance. He's such a strong, sturdy part of the family which was proven multiple times throughout the book. Last but not least, I love Hana because while she was the last person to give in to her attraction to Nicky, she proved to herself and the family that her feelings and affection to Nicky were as real as it gets. Her burst of protectiveness for Nicky and her acceptance was the final key in making Nicky's integration into the pack a permanent thing. I find myself happy and lowkey envious of Nicky for finding such an amazing pack to be a part of because their kind of love was genuinely rare.

Of course it is impossible to talk about the pack dynamics without mentioning their in-bed chemistry. The smut and romance in the pack is off the freaking charts. No two scenes are the same and they have proven that with their kind of dynamic, having each designation in the pack, that nothing is impossible as long as they're open to trying. Just because they're all trying to woo Nicky didn't mean they neglected the already established relationships in the family. There are scenes for almost all the possible combinations in the A/A/O/B/B/A relationship so the book is most definitely abundant in spice. In addition to the wonderful variety of sex dynamics, there are also variety of a different kind throughout the book. There are inclusiveness of every kind in terms of race, culture, and sexual orientations without them being overwhelmingly too much or out of place. The author did such and amazing job of seamlessly integrating these aspects and not make them seem like they were added in for the wow-factor of being trendy.

I would say much more because this book has got me hooked to its characters and community and I loved the whole experience of getting to know Nicky and the night owls intimately. They're not without flaws but together they complemented each other and made things work effortlessly. I could have worded my thoughts better but I'm not exactly eloquent given how I devoured this but the point is this is possibly one of my fav reads this year. Lovely read, definitely worth your time!

This was a very sweet book. I loved all the representation and how they handled their relationship. This was one of the most well done polyamorous relationship I’ve read. This book heavily focuses on just the 5 people in the relationship dating Nicky. There isn’t much conflict within the relationship but there is outside conflict. I can see how some may find this one boring as it is over 500 pages but I really liked it!

Poly relationships done right!

Open communication, focus on building individual relationships plus the whole group dynamic.

This is a low-anxiety read with very supportive members in the established pack who all fall in love with Nicky, the FMC.

Medium burn with a good amount of spice.
