What can I say about this book to possibly do it justice?

First off reaction: AWESOME. I loved it. Romantic, sweet with its sad moments (funny, quick) - Easily 5 Stars. It's also made me look forward to reading more works by this author.

I think explaining with the two protagonists, would give an idea why I loved this book so much: Alec (Curtis) Tyler - our superstar - & Jordan Braxton

I think this is one of the rare times where a character in a book, at even point, hasn't frustrated or annoyed me. At this moment, where I have just literally finished reading the book 2 minutes ago, I honestly cannot think of even one other book where this was the case.

Alec:
Unlike his outer persona (the character of Curtis he plays), Alec is honestly one of the sweetest, most honest and chattiest characters I have come across. From the first time we meet him, as Alec, we see that he's haunted, unhappy and so lonely without anyone to depend on. (Sympathy achieved)
Second time - at the concert - we learn he's honest, sweet and awkward - all to a fault, yet we cannot help but adore him.
Then time after time, his struggles: with his manager (major douchebag) and his mother Leanna (literally, she is one of THE WORST, evil... she is one hell of a bitch - there's no other way to put it, and with her BS still fresh in my mind I don't even want to waste time talking about this character anymore than I already have). His struggles with the passing of his dad (and then almost immediately being put into another hell by the SOB manager), and his epilepsy (It breaks your heart, during his first fit which he tolerates on his own knowing there's no one there for him - because his douchebag SOB manager isolated him in a hotel room with NO help - and when it happens during his press conference - Oh God! - Thank God Jordan met him when he did). All of this, add to the fact of how strong a person Alec is to be able to survive all of that, and thank God! he met Jordan when he did, because I don't know what else would have happened if he hadn't - I'm glad we don't find out.

Jordan:
Dude.... Duuuuudeee.
Proactive, straightforward, funny and so caring for Alec I wish I'd meet someone like this in RL. I mean, he couldn't care less about Curtis but seeing Alec for the first time, catching a glimpse of the real person behind the mask, he falls head over heels and pursues his love at first dance (properly). It's always a treat when characters act out of character, and because this is the guy Jordan had been waiting for his whole life --> He doesn't play games (refreshing) and he's there for Alec every step of the way. Whether it's dealing with how to handle how one douchebag SOB we have already established, the evil mother, his epileptic attacks (and Alec's fear he'd lose Jordan) - Jordan proves to be dependable, reliable and perfect honestly.

This book is adorable (has its dark parts) but honestly I'm really glad I picked it up and I highly recommend it to everyone, really!!!

Spoiler
SPOILERSPOILERSPOILER (please do not read unless you've read the book - but I just had to comment on it so I'm adding it to the review)

OMG! The wedding! They know each other for 2 days! The accidental overhearing of Jordan's proclamation of love and marriage, *KYAAA* and then Alec's revelation he wasn't asleep = priceless.
How he proposed to Alec = SO SWEET (and corny and cheesy) but so SWEET!
The wedding: Damn. I'm so happy for them, and Jordan's song - OMfG - that was hilarious, it was so funny.

I wanted to like this book so badly, but I couldn't. I feel like I'm alone on this one, but I just couldn't get in to it.

The whole story felt ridiculous. It was head-shaking and eye-rolling for me. It kind of felt like fanfiction; and not the good kind. (and I feel really mean for saying that).
For me, it really just wasn't a great book. It all feels really unbelievable and there was too much of the drama and event happened extremely quickly after each other. It was just a 'no' for me.
In the end, it was quite a struggle to actually finish it.

This book is so not what I was expecting. Instead of a typical romance between a full-on rocker and a geeky guy, it is a story filled with heartache and emotion.
Perhaps a little unrealistic in terms of how quickly the main characters established trust and fell in love, it is still a lovely story of love overcoming the odds.

Well. I loved this book. Alec is almost, almost over the top, but he's just so bubbly it's infectious. This book made me laugh out loud, choke up and cry, and even made me literally gasp (a first for any book) out loud when one piece of information is revealed. I absolutely fell in love with the characters and the story.

I loved, loved, loved this book. There were parts in this book that had me rolling on the bed laughing in tears. Man, I have not laughed like that in a long time. Then there were parts that were just so emotionally wrought, it squeezed my heart to tears. Honestly, Alec and Jordan are so cute, I wanted to wrap them in bubble wrap and keep them with me forever. The secondary characters were done well and brought such flavor to the overall story.

For those who are reticent to try m/m romance, this is a great one to read. The physical romance aspect is done beautifully and mostly in fade to black where you can take your own imagination!

Love, loss and life all in this wonderfully written book!

Such a great story! I loved how flawed Alec/Curtis was despite his stardom. It seems crazy in this day and age how sheltered Alec/Curtis was and how his manager was able to spin his personality but I loved how he took control of his life again with the help of Jordan. It was total insta-love but it really seemed to work for the story. I really loved this.
