Entertaining read with an ending that is not realistic although maybe a bit happier with the unrealistic part.

I found this book just too depressing. I prefer my tragedies with just a glimmer of hope.

This book is a difficult book to read. We follow 16 year old Emily who runs away and has to make it on her own.

This was not Chris Bohjalian's finest work. I really thought it was more of a YA book. The amount of times "Peaced Out" and other slang was used was just not fitting.

Yes, I finished the book and yes there were points that were okay, but that is about it.

I generally love Bohjalian's books, but this one just didn't measure up.

I found this incredibly sad. Not in the weepy sense, but that a teenaged girl could be missing for so long, that the school wouldn't have taken their rosters, that she wouldn't have any friends searching for her.
SpoilerShe talks so casually about "doing" truckers and cutting, as if it's the most natural thing in the world, even though it's apparent she doesn't actually enjoy either.

Very interesting concept. Was a fast and good read.
