Okay I loved this! So different from any other story. And the twist and changes in life just hit!

Well, that was a wildly odd book. I kinda loved it and hated it at the same time, I knew it was going to be sexual but my god there were some parts I had to stop reading cause it was basically porn and I was on a train...
I liked how different it was but the storyline was a bit too far fetched, however, I couldn't stop reading. The last 40% was so fast paced so had to be done in one sitting.

Maybe 3.5. Deanna is a psychopath who never leaves her apartment because she doesn't think she can control her urge to violently kill. So she works from home as a cybersexworker. As you do. She suspects one of her customers is about to commit a crime and when she sees a news report she takes matters into her own hands. It was a page turner, but in the end I found the climax was a bit of an anti-climax. It was over too quickly and easily. And I think the author was a bit obsessed with the protagonist's profession. That was a huuuuge focus.

DNF at 41%. To all yall in the psychological thriller group who recommended this, I hate you. This was just gross. Too bad too because I normally like this author. But it was just ick.

Smut posing as a psychological thriller. Struggled to finish several times

I chose this book because it was on the shelf near P.J. Tracy and it had a red spine. My younger daughter gave me a challenge to read one book per week this year, on top of the 85 I read last year. Anyway, she gave me hints to direct my book pick. This pick gave me The Girl in 6E. I nearly put it back after reading the inside jacket cover and again after reading the first 25 pages or so, but I stuck with it. I am glad I did.

As you will read in the Goodreads snapshot, the protagonist is a really messed up young lady. She is obsessed with the idea of killing someone, not nice and neat, but bloody and painfully. To prevent that eventuality, she locks herself in her apartment even going so far as to have someone lock her in at night when the drives are the strongest. She makes a good living as a erotic cam model. She orders everything she needs to live from food to furniture to computer equipment online, requiring it to be delivered. The delivery guy finally gives up and signs for her packages himself.

I won't go on any further into the story line, but suffice to say it was sufficiently compelling for me to finish the book in a day and a half. I could feel sequels in the offing and will read them as they become available at my library.

I would not recommend this book for the prude or the weak of heart, but for everyone else, I can wholeheartedly recommend it.

Good reading.
