A Slice of Haven
An interesting plot with some twists. A couple of them were predictable, but the results not necessarily so. I mostly liked the resolution, but was a bit disappointed with a part of it. (No more info than that so as to not spoil.)
Content for those who want to know: a couple instances of mild profanity. No real violence. Talk of tobacco and alcohol use. No sex.

I am not sure why, but I was predicting the ending being MUCH darker than it was. I was expecting some terror and murder. The ending wasn't what I expected but I did enjoy the story. I really enjoyed Moonlight Child and From a Distant Star the best from this author.

Probably really 3-1/2 stars, but I rounded up. Definitely off my beaten path in terms of genre, but it got good reviews and I liked the premise. It was interesting and full of surprises, but it dragged towards the end and seemed to just run out of steam. I was expecting a better ending - there was a lot of potential given the twists and turns throughout the plot up to that point. Still was a different diversion.

3.5. Cute story. I thought it would be more suspenseful but it was too wholesome.

A Limited Run is the latest compelling story by the talented Karen McQuestion. She writes with a unique voice and this story was so intriguing.
When the cast of an old TV show is made an offer to reunite for ten days in a replica of their TV town, they are hesitant but ultimately compelled to agree.
The catch is they must leave all outside contact behind and they must remain in character for the entire ten days. Given the hard feelings between the actors this promises to be a challenge.
As Meri, Jeff, Amanda, Lauren and Dominick enter Haven, things feel strange and unsettling. The greatest part of this book is I was never quite sure what was going to happen next. A look at relationships and rehashing the past.
