Is this really a five star? Probably not because the characters are so quirky it’s kind of annoying, but it’s such a good story and there’s the nostalgic aspect. I cried because it is sad. The kissing in Anne Franks house and everyone applauding is so odd. I do really like Hazels family relationships and her friendship forming with Isaia and her relationship with Augustus of course.

I love these characters so much. I always have to prepare myself for a book that I know is going to be sad, and this one was definitely sad, but it was the good kind of sad. Beautifully written love that extends beyond time.
