This was probably my favorite Colleen Hoover book I’ve read. This was such an interesting perspective piece watching them all do what they felt was right for this little girl. Absolutely heart wrenching. It could’ve been a bit more complex, it was a pretty straightforward story in how it all unfolded, but I was hooked nonetheless. Found myself looking forward to reading and not wanting to put this book down.
I don’t even know where to begin with how much I enjoyed this book. Colleen Hoover definitely knows how to take you on an emotional roller coaster. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time and felt so furious, happy, sad and anxious while watching Kenna’s story unfold. Life is too short to hold grudges and I think the lesson here is we have to think about the people that those grudges affect because of our own selfishness. I definitely suggest this book, and for my second Colleen Hoover book I’m not disappointed. The sex scenes are also a plus ;)
Be still my heart be still…
What can I say that many reviews haven’t said about Colleen Hoover’s writing?
As a mother and one of a boy this book had me in tears from the start of the book. There are many raw emotions for each of the characters who in their own world are grieving the loss of a loved one. As each chapter progresses healing starts to happen to each of them. Yet I felt tears through many chapters of this book.
I love a writer who can convey so many emotions in their writing and I also love one that keeps surprising us with each book. I fell in love with Hoovers writing when I read Verity and she has always surprised me Jeje each of her books just like she did with this one.

This was my first CoHo book. I read it to discuss it with my student who wanted to read it. I didn't like any of the main characters- they were all one-sided. The ending happened too quickly and easily given the rest of the story. The sex scenes were awful.
