colleen’s spoonfed writing is my biggest pet peeve. not that i expect some descriptive prose from na fiction, but she spells out everything for readers like we’re dumb. (another writer who does that is TJR, but it’s excusable because her characters and themes are always handled neatly) there were a few pages kenna repetitively described her feelings with the word ‘imagine’ and it felt like the author was trying way too hard to be deep, and it made me cringe. kenna rarely ever did anything to reconcile with her daughter. maybe 1.5 because i didn’t hate this book as much as i hated without merit and november 9 but i must admit i didn’t enjoy any single moment except those parts with ivy. my god i wanted this couple to be cockblocked by the cat so bad!

I loved this book.

Even though the last 30% of it had me crying. Constantly.

Worth a read.

I cried. I’m sad and happy at the same time. This book was very emotional.
