How have I not heard of S. Massery before now?! Wow wow wow

Greyson is very reminiscent of Carter Mahoney from Sam Mariano's Untouchable in his obsession and the kind of play he engages in with Violet. Greyson is rich, entitled and never had to face the consequences of his actions until he crashes a car into another driver, ending their dance career and leading to Greyson's reputation to be tarnished in his hometown. As fate would have it Greyson enrolls in a new university and joins a new hockey team only for it to be where Violet is studying. Greyson hates Violet and wants to punish her for marring his reputation and the game of cat and mouse begins.

Before the accident, Violet was a soloist ballet dancer at the local ballet company and about to dance as Aurora. 6 months later, her leg is healed and she returns to university but nerve pain means her doctors don't think she'll ever dance again. Violet has a darkness in her that mirrors Greyson's albeit better hidden than his. It was so easy to understand how hate transformed into attraction and love in this story. The chemistry between Violet and Greyson was electric. I loved the push and pull.

Outside of our mains, I loved the side characters. I loved that both Violet and Greyson had strong friendships that supported them and getting to see how those friends interacted with eachother was a treat. As for the villain, I was caught off guard and then it all made sense. I liked thinking back and seeing how all the little clues added up.

The biggest disappointment was realising this was a newish release and that I was going to have to wait for the next books. I'm so looking forward to seeing the other hockey players get their happily ever after.
