This last book was the most heart-wrenching one of the entire series! I loved almost everything (the only thing I didn't like was that it was very anticlimactic and they found the things they needed very fast and very conveniently) about this book and I'm really saddened to see this beautiful series come to a close! This series is definitely recommended to anyone who likes a fresh take on a classic myth (Persephone & Hades) with other awesome myths thrown into the mix. Brodi Ashton is officially a favorite author of mine!!!!!

I liked it and yet I didn't. Well, I didn't like the ending or rather Cole's ending. I wanted a future between Cole and Nikki to be possible even though I adored her relationship with Jack. The ending dashed that hope. Now it's Jack and Nikki forevermore. No Cole. Cole should have at least lived even if he didn't get his happily ever after with Nikki. I was Team Cole from the beginning and still is.

Evertrue really surprised me. I didn't think this was the direction Brodi was going to take. I did love it because of the characters but I was disappointed with Cole. Because part of k love for the series (which I didn't realize until I read evertrue) was how cole was the "bad guy" the "hades" and with evertrue this was no longer true. But I do feel like this was a satisfying ending. This may be the first time be ever wished for a sadder ending :/

I do not understand why the author decided to end the book like this! It could have been a nice trilogy. But no!!!
