I loved this conclusion to the Jansen brothers' story! This was definitely a SLOW BURN but super sweet and wonderful. I loved that the main character has curves and appreciated her boss lady drive. Her struggles with a new small business really hit close to home for me and I was rooting for her and celebrating with her during all her achievements in the local shop world.

The communication issues with the couple could be a bit agonizing at times but I was glad when things finally came together. I do feel like the video game subplot was wrapped up a little hastily, but perhaps that's because it was just a subplot so they quickly summed it up and moved onto Hailey and Wes? Or perhaps there were too many irons in the fire between Hailey's small business and Wes's video games and apps? I'm also pretty sure they only mentioned updating their "guide" a couple times and we never really revisited it even though the book is named for it. I mostly feel like we focused a lot on Hailey and her business and very little on Wes and his video games and apps but that could just be a me thing or maybe that's because Hailey is the one with an actual store.

Wes and Hailey were completely adorable either way and that's the most important thing.

You're mine. And I want to be yours.

Overall it was an enjoyable book and made me feel satisfied with where the Jansen brothers as a whole ended up, I do however wish we had some more Wes wrap up as I feel like we could've had a little more about how he was moving away from cyber security and more into video games or something like that since this is HIS book.

But in the end...

There's no guarantees, man. Not in real estate, investments, or love.

... Or in books getting to share every part of the story.

If it weren't for Hailey this probably would've been a 3.5/5 but I'm giving this a 4/5 because honestly Hailey was the best ♥️

Thank you NetGalley and [a:Sophie Sullivan|20344328|Sophie Sullivan|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1590745668p2/20344328.jpg] for the ARC, is was lovely.

The weirdest health economics textbook I’ve ever read

This book was so cute! I have not read the other two books in the series but I’m excited to go back and read them now. I love Hailey and Wes friendship so much. It was so pure, sweet and just overall adorable. I was so glad when they finally realized they were meant to be! The classic problems get in the way but you know things will always work out! Perfect easy romance read!

Hailey is a strong-willed go-getting woman coming off a horrible breakup from a controlling ex. Wes is a trying to date…but it isn’t going well. His first encounter with Hailey, he excuses her of pretending to be someone else! When they run into each other again they start to become friends. As their friendship grows, they start to start to fall for each other but are either of them willing to let go of their own ways to find love?

The dual narrators for this one was great. The different perspectives were done nicely and were easy to listen to.

While the narration was great, the story fell flat in several areas. There was so much miss communication in this book that I found myself wanting to slap Hailey and Wes across the face for being so blind. I was also frustrated for their tight-knit family members to admit to seeing what was going on between them, but never speaking up! Because of all the miscommunication this one was a slower book where I prefer a faster ride. I didn’t hate this one, but it wasn’t my favorite either. Solid middle of the road book.

If you are looking for a friends to lovers book that is steeped with miscommunication, then check this one out January 17th! Thank you to MacMillan Audio, @macmillian.audio, the author, and @netgalley for a copy of this ALC in exchange for this honest review

Thanks so much to St. Martin’s press for this one via NetGalley.

When I requested this book, I didn’t have any info that it was a follow up book and while I think it can technical,y be a standalone it definitely felt like I was supposed to know or care about a lot of these characters when they were introduced. So if you’ve read the first 2 books I’m guessing this is a welcome trip into a familiar universe but I was left feeling flat about all of the characters.

The romance idea was very cute, but ultimately I didn’t find the main characters very likeable or grown up, and I felt kind of gross that they clearly liked each other but kept referencing friendship so often in a pretty manipulative way. All in all. 2.5 stars for me but could be a great fit for other readers of the series

I enjoyed the last Jansen Brother's story, it was a very cute friends to lovers and thought it showed true arguments that can come up in relationships. I enjoyed seeing Wes's character develop throughout the story and enjoyed that he was able to discover what he truly wanted at the end, besides his fear.

“… a little fear goes a long way. Toward what, I’m not sure. Best to be cautious but I’ll have your back.”⁣

This was like a big hug. I’ve really enjoyed this series and it just felt like a great big hug to finish it off. Hailey and Wes were wonderful and I felt like they complimented each other well. I was so excited for his story, and I’m glad it played out the way it did!⁣

I did listen on audio and I felt both readers did a great job. I did enjoy Stephanie Willing’s read a bit more, but overall a solid listen on audio.⁣

I will say, it took like 70% for the will they/won’t they to happen, so it almost felt like they held out for too long. Of course we have the great misunderstanding and the makeup, and I wish we could have spent more time in those areas. However, I did really enjoy getting to know Hailey and Wes as individuals before a couple.⁣

Overall, another solid Sophie Sullivan hit. Plus that epilogue
