A Guide to Being Just Friends by Sophie Sullivan is Book 3 in the Jansen brothers series, and if you haven’t read Chris and Noah’s stories I highly recommend you do, and read this one of course too! Honestly though Wes may be my favorite Jansen brother, and his friends to lovers relationship with Hailey was just *chef’s kiss*. The foundation of their friendship, and truthfully you know from the beginning they both want to be more than friends but both have different reasons for not wanting to pursue something more, really just had me on the edge of my seat waiting for when they would finally figure it all out and put me out of my misery! When I say this is slow burn, it is slllllloooooooowwwwww burn, but in only the best way possible. Prepare yourself for lots of banter, lots of not dates (but Hailey and Wes are the only ones delusional enough to think they’re not really dates), and one amazing grand gesture.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book provided to me through NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Thank you to Sophie Sullivan and St. Martin’s Griffin for giving me the opportunity to read this book!

Firstly, I would like to thank NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for providing me the opportunity to read and review "A guide to being just friends" in exchange for my honest opinion.
This book was such a delight! At one hand we have Haley, a hard working, fun and with a good dose of pride girl that left a toxic relationship and is trying to be independent and have her own business! On the other hand, Wes is a business man with a talent for arts and coding that doesn't want to see himself in a committed relationship. After a funny first impression both of them decided to be friends, but of course with the time, things change..
I really enjoyed this book! It was fun and light. I loved how their relationship blossomed! It did not felt rushed and I was giddy at certain scenes. I really enjoyed as well how the characters do not feel flat and had interesting past experiences and how that affected how they approached their relationship with each other. The only thing I believed it could have been different, is that I wish both of them did not seem so stubborn. What I mean by that, is that it's ok for the characters to have their principle, but sometimes they are so adamant in their opinions that it feels narrow minded.
Nonetheless, I liked the healthy discussion they had to overcome past traumas.
That's totally on my recommend list for someone that wants friends to lovers!

Two people who spark a connection and find wonderful friendship decide to set rules for themselves as to not ruin that friendship. That spark of attraction, desire, and maybe even a little more just doesn’t go away however.
I really enjoyed this book since I’m not always the biggest fan of friends to lovers. This however took a unique spin as to not have them be decades long friends but rather two people who understand the need for friendship in a world of crazy chaos and how they tried to out that first. As each character grows and both characters date other people they realize that friendship might be becoming feelings of something much, much more.
The slow burn and build up of this was incredibly well done. I actually had to go get another book by the author since I enjoyed her writing so much!

Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press, St. Martin’s Griffin, for an advanced reader copy. The opinions expressed are mine alone.
This was your standard friends to lovers romance but I still enjoyed the story. I did find the stubbornness of the main characters slightly frustrating but I can understand why they acted the way they did. The author did a good job of exploring each of their perspectives. All in all I’d give this 4 out of 5 stars.
I recieved this book as an ARC through NetGalley but these are the opinions I formed on my own by reading.
A Guide to Being Just Friends by Sophie Sullivan takes us through the lives of Wes and Hailey. Hailey moves to Los Angeles to have a life. Wes is looking for something exciting and find his perfect woman.
Honestly, I thought I would enjoy this more than I did. I felt like there was little to no chemistry between the two MCs whatsoever(friendly or romantic). The pacing of the book was od. I did however enjoy the writing style and some of the plot points. The 'Dork' definition scene turned me off of the book a little, made me a bit uncomfy for some reason lol.
