This series is excellent, holds my attention and jerks me reading when I have other things I should do. Highly recommended!!
Was late to purchase this book because I was less than dazzled by The Cuckoo's Calling, but The Silkworm is much improved than the first Cormoran Strike installment. It was fun, funny, and of course intriguing as every good detective novel should be.
Robert Galbraith (a.k.a. J.K. Rowling), is clearly a gifted writer. "Silkworm" unfolded vividly with a disturbing murder and delightfully shady suspects. Cormoran and Robin are such a pair and I loved seeing their lives and personalities unfold further in this second novel.
Where I voice caution is the ending. While better than the first, the ending of "Silkworm" could really use some help. Having read the two novels, I feel like Galbraith (Rowling) is just picking mystery ending styles from a hat -- and fails to match the beautiful build-up of the rest of the novel.

A good read, kept me guessing till near the end. Characters more developed than in the previous book.

Fun murder mystery. Significantly better than the first in the series.
Each book I read in this series is like getting together with old friends. I thoroughly enjoy getting to know Robin and Cormoran. And the mystery keeps me guessing.
