So immature. There’s no real substance as to why they hate each other so much. The girl’s reaction to ANYTHING he does is so extreme for no reason. She’s pregnant 😣

This was an enemies-to-lovers, best friend's brother, fake dating romance.  Jessie is pregnant but it's not the MMC's baby. She needs a temporary place to stay and her best friend suggests she stay with her brother, Drew. Jessie can't stand Drew so how is this going to work?

I love enemies to lovers... like it's literally my favorite. But I hate that the "enemies" part of this wasn't quite justified. Jessie hated Drew just because she knew she could love him. So it was her way of protecting herself, I guess.  Also, I love some good pranks in a book but the gala one made me cringe. There's a time and a place for a good prank and to me that was just a little over the line.  I did love how Drew stepped up to be there for her baby.  He did not just fall in love with her - he loved the baby as well.  I feel like the personality/humor in this book was the exact same as book 1 in the series, The Off Limits Rule.  Jessie was a little much at times and definitely needed to mature a little bit.  I loved Drew though. He was an ob-gyn and I loved to see him talk to his patients and how sweet he was.

Overall, it was a cute book, but it just isn't one that I would read again.

4.5⭐️ This was a cute enemies to lovers, contemporary romance. Our heroine, Jessie, was left pregnant by her at the time boyfriend to deal with on her own. When issues arise and Jessie finds herself needing a place to live. While at her best friend’s house (Lucy from book one), she strikes a deal to pretend to date Lucy’s brother Drew, who she hates, in exchange for a room to stay in. We see a prank war ensue and their relationship shift and grow, while Jessie is fighting demons from her past and facing the scary prospect of being a first time mother.

I very nearly didn’t finish this book. I hoped it would be better than the first, but once again the FMC was incredibly annoying and felt like a walking cliche of “not like other girls” and “fake mean cuz I’ve got a bad history 🥺” with no real depth.
