This was a very light and fun read and especially so after reading Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand, which I shall not repeat my review on how bad it was here. Totally the kind of book you'd take to the beach or on a train ride instead of the usual romance number. It's not much so be prepared to buy a new book or bring along extra books.

Questo libro ha rischiato di mandarmi in blocco del lettore da quanto e' noioso e piatto;200 pagine che pasano il triplo. L'idea di partenza e' molto carina e promettente ma il non e' riuscito a tenermi interessara alla storia. Perche' in realta' la storia non esiste, mi verrebbe da dire. Guardiamo il protagonista che salta da un posto all'altro, da un evento all'altro, che incontra di continuo nuovi personaggi e questi non sono mai carratterizzati. Un serie di aneddoti fini a stessi, senza un minimo di morale, neanche abbozzata.
Il libro sembra un lista della spesa. Non l'ho potuto leggere per 2 giorni e non mi ricordo quasi piu' niente della storia. Per questo non lo finisco neanche, arrivata a piu' del 70% senza ricordarmi quello che ho letto.

This is an absolutely wonderful book. The relationship between Vatanen and his hare is so lovely, although I do admit being angry at Vatanen a couple of times. I'm sure many who've read the book share that sentiment.

A delightful little novel from a Finnish writer. A main character who rejects human nature for a life in nature. We journey with him across the wilds of Finland along with his trusty companion - a hare!

An interesting read to say the least, a book I would recommend, but, it wasn't really the type of book I enjoy, entertaining none the less.
